Election Special

Well, it's the 6th may 2010 and I am sitting watching the General Election, here in the UK. So I thought I would do an election special.

選挙　－　せんきょ　－　Senkyo　－　Election.

政府　－　せ いふ　－　Seifu　－　Government.

内閣　－　ないかく　－　Naikaku　－　Cabinet.

投票 所　－　とうひょうしょ　－　Touhyousho　－　Polling Station.

首相　－　しゅしょう　－　Shushou　 －　Prime Minister.

政党　－　せいとう　－　Seitou　－　Political Party.

投票 　－　とうひょう　－　Touhyou　－　Voting.

一票　－　いっぴょう　－　Ippyou　－　Ballot vote.

Some example sentences:

戦況の結果を予測するのは難しい。　－　せんきょうのけっかをよそくするのはむずかしい。
Senkyou no kekka o yosoku surunoha muzukashii.
It is difficult to calculate the results of the election.

首相は報道陣と会見した。　－　しゅしょうはほうどうじんとかいけんした。
Shushou wa houdoujin to kaikenshita.
The Prime Minister met with the press.

新 内閣にすいてどう思いますか。　－　しんないかくについてどうおもいますか。
Shin naikaku nitsuitedou omoimasu ka.
What do you think of the new Cabinet?

Karera wa shin seifu o juritsushita.
They have established (elected) a new government.

The Japanese above is faily advance Japanese with difficult kanji. I thought it would be fun to do a quick (if not easy) Japanese lesson to tie in with the election that is happening here in the UK.
